It is home to a significant number of professional cyclists who choose to live and train in the city. Girona's popularity among professional cyclists can be attributed to its favorable climate, diverse terrain, and extensive network of cycling routes. Many of the local cafes and restaurants are owned by professional cyclists, creating a vibrant cycling culture in the city.
It is also known for its extensive network of non-paved roads, which have become a popular destination for gravel cycling enthusiasts. These roads wind through scenic countryside, offering spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. Girona has also become a hub for cycling races and events. The city hosts a variety of cycling events throughout the year, including the Traka or the Sea Otter Europe a popular mass participation cycling event that attracts thousands of cyclists from around the world.

- Difficulty (on a scale 1-5) Score 3 Every stage has some climbs (3-7km distance) with medium 4-6% most of them on very organic itinerary coming from the ancient times.
- Guided tour: The tour will be guided and a van support will be stand by in case of help. Every participant will have also the track in order to allow different speed and plan different meeting points. The goal will be keep the ride as a group activity but with flexibility.

Day 1

Day 2
Circular ride from Girona (59km 940m+)
This stage, is a challenging itinerary with and optional extra climb to Rocacorba summit. You will start the stage riding north direction through the nice Adri valley until you reach Biert a lost village on the edge between two valleys. From there will descent to Banyoles with it’s fantastic lake. After a coffee stop you will come back to Girona through a ondulated plain splited of farms and nice houses until Girona.
Day 3
Girona to Calella de Palafrugell (62km 943m+)
Today you will cycle toward the coast a long the south side of Les Gavarres Range on a rollong terrain. The last part of the itinerary we will ascent to the top of Puig d’Arques where you could enjoy a great panoramic of the coast line and the Pyrenees as a back drop. From there you will descento to the coast to reach Calella one of the better preserved fisherman villages with it’s cowes and excelent clear water.
Day 4
Circular ride from Calella de Palafrugell (82km 610m+)
The itinerary today will be longer but much more flat discovering a region disseminated of cute medieval villages and surrounded of agriculture, and farm houses. You will enjoy with a very ancient architecture from XII-XIII century, fortified churches, citadels and tours.
Really well worth to stop and have a drink on one of their ancient squares.
Tonight a nice dinner in front of the sea is a must.
Day 5
Calella de Palafrugell to Girona (57km 1069m+)
Day to return to Girona. Cycling on the North side of tles Gavarres we will pass by La Bisbal and we will stop in Monells one of the best preserved villages. After the stop, we will face the last climb up to Els Angels monaster, where will will have again great views to the region, the coast and the Pyrenees. A last descent will bring you to Girona for a final farewell dinner.
